This is one of the first places we look when we are fault finding with a problem internet service.

For example, if the customer has issues with their Wi-Fi, we first look at the position of the modem/router.

Is the modem/router at one end of the house or is it in a central position?

Ideally you would like to position your modem/router centrally in your house so the Wi-Fi signal is evenly spread throughout the whole house.

Is the modem/router dual band or single band?

Each band width signal on the modem/router have different capacities. The 2.4GHz frequencies will travel further but at a slower speed, whereas the 5GHz frequencies will provide faster speeds but at a shorter distance and suffers from more interference from walls etc.
